Citizens On Patrol (COPs) Program 

About Us

The Citizens On Patrol program consists of volunteer members of the Dickinson Citizens’ Police Academy Alumni Association that have undergone screenings, background checks, and have been trained by their local law enforcement agency and now participate in the COPs program acting as "eyes and ears" for law enforcement. Members of the COPs program are NOT certified law enforcement officers and do not represent themselves as such. We are simply citizens that are trying to help to make our community a safer place to live.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Dickinson Citizens On Patrol Program is to enhance the individual and collective safety and general welfare of all people of the City of Dickinson by assisting the Dickinson Police Department in deterring crime in Dickinson. The primary method used to deter crime will be to provide high visibility patrol within the city and by observing and reporting suspect behavior.
