ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF DCPAAA MEMBERS
2019
- Annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon - Our alumni helped set up, serve, and clean up for more than 700 people in our community
- Annual Empty Stocking Program - Our Alumni assisted in parking, traffic control, and distribution of gifts to the less fortunate in our community.
- Annual Blue Santa Program - Our alumni assisted our police department in gift wrapping, serving refreshments and distribution of gifts to the community.
- Dickinson Festival of Lights - Due to Paul Hopkins bridge being rebuilt the festival was canceled but will come back better and stronger.
- Back the Badge Program - Our alumni volunteered many hours for the Back the Badge program that supports officers and their families in financial need due to death or illness.
- Birthday Backup Program – Assist DPD in attending local children’s birthday parties (ages 2-11 years of age) getting a chance to know the community.
- Scholarships – One scholarship is awarded per year.
- Drug Take-Back Program - Assist the police department to safely discard old prescription pills.
- Parades and Events - Assist with traffic control, parking, etc.
